     This site is a diamond in the rough. I'd lost my hedgehog to cancer late last December and wanted to adopt in honor of him and his own plight. The layout of this site is easy to navigate, and I was able to get into contact with the owner of my three new babies and have them adopted within three days. They're happy and already warming up to me. I'll definitely be referring friends to Rescue Me for future adoptions!

     As usual, adopting through Rescue Me was a wonderful experience. Sadly, one of the boys died right before I adopted them due to their previous home and being under fed. My Lil rat is the sweetest baby. He is very loving and gives kisses non-stop. He loves being scratched and played with. You would believe he was a dog if you didn't know any better! The young lady I adopted him from was very helpful and kind. I am so glad she rescued him. I have since adopted him a new brother since he was really close to the one he lost and they are getting along well. Thanks again for this site and my wonderful babies. This is my third adoption and all have been wonderful! My heart rat came from here and lived to be three and a half. I now have a new heart rat in this Lil guy. Thanks so much!!!

     I originally posted about Tally on Craigslist because I didn't know where else to go. Not even a week ago I was looking for places to post Tally's information to find her a new home and it was maybe two days later when I got an email about someone being interested in her. I talked to this person very consistently for a few days, and was really excited about how in depth her questions were and how great of a life her current ferret has, so we set up a play date and I had never seen Tally so happy (it was the first time she had gotten to play with another ferret). The couple that adopted her is so kind and take such good care of their other ferret, so I knew those were the people Tally needed to be with. She even has another furry friend to play with like ferrets are supposed to! Basically, I found dead end after dead end on Craigslist, but after about five days of my post being on Rescue Me, I found little Tally a wonderful, loving family that will be able to give her the life I couldn't.

     I was lucky enough to adopt a second time from the same lady on Rescue Me. She had two little girls this time in need of adopting and they are adorable! I especially love my Dot with the missing tail. They were well taken care of by their foster mom and I am a very happy rat mamma.      I was so nervous and scared I wouldn't find someone to respond considering the luck I have had in calling people. Thankfully, I had a lady contact me shortly after I posted my situation. I was more than happy to take my little friend to her. She said many have been contacting the same people I did and got the same lack of response. Now, I am relieved that he will get the proper care he needs and able to be free in the wild like he was intended.      Unfortunately, due to extreme and sudden circumstances that were out of my hands, I was forced to make the decision to put two of my sweet little boys up for adoption. I chose Rescue Me since about a year ago, it was one of the placed I looked when I was considering another adoption. Rats aren't the easiest animals to find homes for due to the stigma still around them but I held out hope. Rescue Me was amazingly easy to use and it wasn't long before I got lots of people asking to adopt them. I took a long time to deliberate my choices of adoptees and feel like I have chosen the best possible one. He seems like a great guy who will give them all the love and attention my little guys deserve. Thank you Rescue Me for making this painful process easier.

     Rigby is a very sweet ferret in need of a good home. His previous owner didn't care for him so I posted him for adoption, and a nice lady named Mary messaged me she said she had another ferret named Sly and he needed a brother. We met up and Rigby and Sly loved each other and were playing. She adopted him and now he has a loving home with a loving mommy (Mary) and brother (Sly).      Absolutely amazing the reach that Rescue Me has. Six months ago, I was able to find a home for a small dog whose owner had died. The new family saw 'Ginger' posted on Rescue Me and drove over 250 miles to come meet, fall in love with and welcome her into their family. I only had her posted a few days. So when two rats, Bobby and Jack, came to stay with me after their owners had to give them up, I decided to try Rescue Me again. I wasn't sure if I would have as much success with rats (not all people are fans!) Once again, I was amazed. Within 24 hours, I had two potential adopters. I just drove Bobby and Jack to their new home. They now have two, girl rats (spayed) to play with as well. They were having great fun already. Please, anyone who even views this site, if you can only donate as little as $5.00 it will help keep this fantastic option available for pets everywhere to have a second chance with a new and loving family!

     After weeks of searching for a home to adopt my four female rats with no success, I found Rescue Me online. I am so thankful I did. Within a few days of posting my girls up for adoption, I was contacted by a very loving couple who was able to adopt them. I was so worried that I would not find responsible new parents to take my girls that would love them and care for them as much as I do. Thanks to Rescue Me, I found exactly that. The adoption process was so easy and comfortable. I am still in touch with the adoptive parents and they send me pictures of my girls (who are very very happy in their new home).      We were very pleased to be contacted by so many people who wanted our girls or had a referral to someone who would take them. We ended up communicating with one of the first individuals to contact us. She had rats in the past and was also a veterinarian assistant so we felt very comfortable with her knowledge and access to care if the girls needed it as they were about mid-age for rats at this point. I'd never re homed any of my animals before, so I'm glad I got so many responses from the emails I sent out over this site and the posting of them. Thanks Rescue Me for your help! She is keeping us updated with pictures which is so nice, I know they are in a happy new home.

     I was amazed at how many people replied, willing to help with a juvenile squirrel that followed my friend and his son home! Although many were not near me, they sent a list of resources and links to find a rehabber close to our area! They also provided me with tips for keeping the youngster alive and healthy until a rehabber was found! One of those links was to the Department of Natural Resources site, which had a list of hundreds of rehabbers.....and one of them just happened to live down the street from my friend and was willing to take the squirrel! Thanks so much to Rescue Me and everyone who replied!

     I had 15 gerbils! I posted that I had one gerbil with a brother. I received so many requests that I have now found homes for every single gerbil. I am amazed by how fast my babies found homes. I posted on other sights, and went to WalMart trying to just give them away, but nobody wanted them. Rescue Me is so efficient, and I am so glad I found it in order to find homes for the gerbils I could no longer keep!

     I'm so thrilled that Rescue Me was here when our family needed it! Our 'pet store' hamsters (both females) ended up one being pregnant unbeknownst to us and she had a litter of 11. We were able to adopt them out to a local middle school and family took a few - we kept a couple, all separated. Syrian Hamsters MUST be separated - they will fight until one is killed or seriously mamed, not to mention breed! Thank you Rescue Me!
